By registering your hotel with Excel Hotels Ltd you accept and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Definitions:
The following expressions, in the correct context, shall have the following meanings: Customer(s) -any person using Excel Hotels to search for a Hotel. Hotel - any establishment registered with EH. EH - Excel Hotels Ltd and all website domains owned by Excel Hotels Ltd.
2. Copyright:
The rights to the excelhotels.co.uk website and all content, including Customer details, data and logos remain the property and copyright of EH. The Hotel agrees to provide EH with non-exclusive right and licence to publish and advertise the Hotel name, address, telephone number, logo, descriptions and images for all purposes connected with the delivery of Customer enquiries.
3. EH Company Information:
EH is an independent company featuring a wide range of Hotels throughout the UK. EH is not a Hotel Booking Agent. EH provides each hotel with their own web page. EH supplies the Hotel with their own online booking enquiry form so Customer's can send their enquiry directly to the Hotel. The Hotel's telephone number is also published to encourage direct phone enquiries. EH is not responsible for any aspect of the accommodation booking process. The Hotel is responsible for converting the initial enquiry into a confirmed reservation. In the event of any Customer query, including complaints, the Customer will always be referred directly to the Hotel.
4. The Hotel shall:
- Promptly respond to all Customer booking enquiries which are generated and electronically delivered by EH
- Maintain confidentiality when handling Customer enquiries.
- Protect the privacy of EH Customers and ensure that all information about Customers will be collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- Only send the Customer correspondence, which is in connection with their enquiry.
- Not, knowingly harm or cause a derogation relating to the EH brand and identity including any illegal act.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the sale of rooms
5. Accurate Information:
The Hotel confirms that the information and photographs provided to EH will be correct and up to date at all times. Any necessary changes to the Hotel's entry must be sent to EH by email. The accuracy of published content will be based on the information the Hotel provides. EH will not be held responsible or liable for incorrect Hotel information or errors. EH reserves the right to temporarily suspend the Hotel should it be found to be providing inaccurate information. The Hotel will be reactivated as soon as the error is corrected.
6. Best Available Rates:
Enquiries generated by EH do not incur any booking fees or travel agency commission to either the Customer or the Hotel., it is always EH's intention to develop a loyal Customer base and to encourage repeat business. With the best interests of all Hotels featured on EH websites in mind, Hotels agree to quote their 'best available rate' for all direct booking enquiries delivered by EH.
7. Joining Fee:
EH charge the Hotel an annual membership fee of £70.00 plus vat, per annum unless otherwise agreed. The registration fee covers:
- A full page feature on EH websites with the following information published as standard - Hotel Name, address, telephone number, logo, up to four photographs and descriptions of the Hotel facilities. A booking enquiry form allowing the delivery of Customer enquiries is also provided on the Hotel's web page.
- The administration and maintenance of the Hotel's web page online
- The electronic delivery of booking enquiries directly to the Hotel by email.
- The ongoing marketing and search engine optimisation of the Hotel through EH
8. Payment Details:
Following online registration, and annually thereafter, an invoice for the registration / membership fee will be sent by email marked for the attention of the Hotel accounts department. This invoice will be in Pounds Sterling and immediate payment is required. Please note that the Hotel will not be activated in the EH system until full payment of the registration fee has been received. In the event that this invoice is not paid within 14 days, and if EH has not been contacted to authorise late payment, the Hotel details may be permanently removed from the EH database.
9. Disclaimer:
EH accepts no liability for any loss of potential enquiries in the event of email, internet or ISP failure. EH reserves the right to remove their websites from the Internet for any length of time without prior notice. If necessary EH reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice. It is the Hotel's responsibility to remain up to date with any alterations made. A link to the most recent copy will always be available online at www.excelhotels.co.uk or by emailing info@excelhotels.co.uk.
10. The agreement:
This agreement will be activated from the date the hotel first registers with EH. One month's notice in writing by either party is required to terminate the agreement.
